Chris Snuggs: I think that Moira Wally-Beckett had two aims: A) to create an enchanting and enhanced alternative story based on a legendary book and B) to campaign for justice in general, and specifically for minorities, the under-privileged, those subject to racism, homophobia and so on.
Only she can say which was more important, though I suspect the latter! But her message could ONLY have been put across with strength if she could simultaneously create something enchanting and beautiful - which she has!
