Here are a few images of Senegalese People.
I had the most extraordinarily friendly reception wherever I went in Senegal. Almost everyone was delighted to have their photo taken, and they smile a great deal, especially the kids. In none of these photos did I have to wait till they smiled, as it was their default expression when looking at me.
This was both moving and humbling, as they often do not have a lot in the way of material possessions and comforts.
Some of the very small kids were an exception to this rule, and often burst into tears or shied away. I believe they had never actually seen a white person except possibly on the telly! However, it usually didn't take long to win them over ....
