The beautifully-written, directed and acted scenes of Peter's proposal redeem this episode (S3/12) from the
ridiculous boorishness of Tim. Each time I watch "Heartland" I am more impressed with Peter: both his role and acting. Lou of course one has come to take for granted. Both in this episode are just brilliant.
Peter had intended to propose to her at the top of the Eiffel Tower, but Lou decides to stay at Heartland to go on the memorial ride for the second anniversary of Marion's passing, so he stays behind, too to propose to her by the lake.
Peter hadn't told her about his weekend business conference in Paris, and so when she finds this out late in the day she feels as she tells Peter that she was something of an afterthought - but she is about to find out the truth behind his deception. |
