A Kiss is just a Kiss

The girls are chatting in the classroom during a break, while Cole is sitting alone some way away drawing. His position and activity attract the girls' attention and they remark that he seems sad and lonely. Ruby also calls him "handsome".

Josie Pye takes it upon herself to cheer him up, though whether she really wants to do that or just have fun with him (or make fun OF him) is a moot point. She is understandably miffed when he rejects her offer of a kiss, which of course makes him a freak. After all, which boy in his right mind would not jump at the chance of a kiss from Josie!
