There are a number of public parks dotted around Yokohama, with open spaces, pleasant paths, public conveniences and drinking fountains. A few have some water, but I haven't seen any ducks, let alone swans.

Vegetation is not lush and grass grows sparsely. Flowers grow much more easily, and the cherry-blossom in spring is spectacular. There is also quite a lot of bamboo of different kinds.

Children's playparks are plentiful and well-appointed.
